When Alpine Electronics UK partnered with us to create a standout show vehicle for 2017, our goal was to craft the ultimate audio listening environment.

This Volkswagen T5 LWB van was designed as a mobile listening room for Alpine’s premium X-Series car audio. Our role was to ensure the interior was perfectly quiet and acoustically optimized using top-tier Silent Coat sound deadening and acoustic treatments.

Working alongside the installers at Oxford Car Audio, we laid the foundation for this exceptional demo van. Silent Coat Extra 4mm sound deadening and Absorber 35 foam were carefully selected to eliminate unwanted vibrations and create a truly rattle-free interior.

Every metal panel in the van received a layer of Silent Coat 4mm sound deadening — floor, sides, roof, and doors — while the wheel arches were fully treated to minimize road noise during movement.

Rather than the usual Isolator foam used in Volkswagen T5 vans for temperature control, this van’s interior was primarily designed for listening. We applied our premium Absorber 35 acoustic foam to all critical panels in the rear to enhance sound quality and interior acoustics.

The front doors were treated with equal care to ensure the front component speakers had an optimal environment. Both door skins received a layer of Silent Coat Extra 4mm, with additional Absorber 35 applied to the rear of the door cards for maximum performance.

Once the van was fully treated with Silent Coat, Oxford Car Audio began installing the extensive range of Alpine X-Series products. The finished demo van is set to showcase Alpine Electronics’ finest offerings throughout 2017 and 2018.
